Dog Food Cost Calculator

Start by choosing whether you feed your dog the same thing every day, or if you mix it up every second day (under "What you feed").

For each food

1. Name the food (optional).
2. Choose the Type (dry, raw, wet, dehydrated, freeze-dried, home-cooked).
3. Enter the Price you pay in total.
4. Add the Delivery charge if there is any, so it's factored into the cost.
5. Add Packs in this price - e.g. 14 for a 14-pack box, or 1 for a single big bag.
6. Single pack size and its Unit (g or kg).
7. Full daily portion (g) - the manufacturer's recommended amount for your dog if this were the only food (we show an estimate from the type and a typical energy value; overwrite it with the pack figure).
8. Use + Add a food for a second food source. Treats can also be switched on under "Your dog" - they come out of the Auto food.

Telling it how much you feed

1. If you feed your dog the same every day: type the grams in "Amount fed (g/day)" for each food, or tick Auto on one food to have it fill the rest of the day.
2. If you feed something different on Day 1 and Day 2: enter the grams for Day 1 and Day 2 (e.g. 500 g raw on Day 1, 0 on Day 2), then tick Auto on the food that should make up the rest (e.g. kibble). It works out the grams for each day.
