Fawnly

Privacy

Last updated: June 2026

Fawnly is private by design. Our tools are built to help you plan without handing over your personal or financial details. This page explains, in plain English, what that means.

Who we are

This website is operated under the name Fawnly (fawnly.co.uk), which acts as the data controller for the limited information described below. You can contact us about privacy at hello@fawnly.co.uk, and we will provide the operator's details on request.

What we collect about you: essentially nothing

Fawnly's tools run entirely in your own browser. The numbers and choices you enter - your salary, your dates, your childcare details and so on - are processed on your device and are not sent to us, not saved on a server, and not shared with anyone. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses or payment details through the tools.

Saving your progress on your device

Some tools (such as the Baby Checklist) can save your progress so it is still there when you come back. This is stored only in your own browser's local storage, on your own device. We cannot see it. You can clear it at any time using the tool's reset button or your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics to understand how many people visit our pages and which tools are popular. These are privacy-first: Cloudflare is cookieless, and Vercel's analytics do not use third-party cookies to track you across other websites; the reports we see are aggregated and anonymous. To serve and measure the site, limited technical data such as your IP address and browser type is processed by Cloudflare and by our host Vercel. This can count as personal data under UK GDPR, but it is not used to identify you or build an advertising profile - we rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.

Cookies

We don't set our own advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics (Cloudflare) is cookieless. Some third-party features we embed - the newsletter sign-up form (MailerLite) and the reviews widget (Trustpilot) - may set their own cookies or store data when they load, under their own privacy policies.

Affiliate and external links

Some pages may include affiliate links. If you click one and visit another company's website, that site has its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites.

Who helps run the site

We use a small number of trusted providers to run Fawnly: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Cloudflare (cookieless analytics and security), MailerLite (our newsletter - see below), and Trustpilot (an optional reviews widget). Each processes only the limited technical or contact information it needs for its job, under its own privacy policy.

Newsletter

If you choose to join our newsletter, you give us your email address and we pass it to MailerLite, who store it and help us send our emails. MailerLite is based in the United States, so your email is transferred there under appropriate safeguards. We email you only because you asked us to (your consent), we don't use your address for anything else, and every email includes an unsubscribe link so you can opt out at any time.

Your rights and contact

Our tools do not collect personal data, so there is normally nothing personal for us to hold, correct or delete. For the limited technical data processed by our analytics and hosting providers, you have the right to ask about it, access it, or object to it, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. For any privacy question, contact hello@fawnly.co.uk.

Changes

We may update this page from time to time. The latest version will always be posted here.
